I hate my FMIL

I hate my FMIL

I'm sorry - this woman (my FH's stepmom) lives in PA, but has still managed to upset and hurt me to the point where I cannot sleep...at all. I'm nauseous and have a knot in my stomach. I don't want to go into detail because I suspect my FH may lurk on occassion and let's face it, it would be a long, LONG post, but I hate her. I just need to say it - she's evil and I hate her...Thank you for letting me get that out...now maybe I can sleep

Hang in there. I am in the same boat as you. Funny thing is my FMIL is from Pa too. I hate her, but have realized that she lives far enough away that I only have to deal with her in small doses.

I'm so sorry she is doing this to you. I used to have major FSIL issues and it truly takes a toll on the planning and most importantly on ourselves.
I hope it gets better...
for you!

I feel for you. Just be happy she is in PA so after the wedding you won't have to deal with her as much. I am in the same boat but she is 10 min away! Try to keep smiling and don't let her ruin YOUR day.

Thanks so much ladies. As you each know, I'm sure, it's so damn hard The closer we get to the wedding too, the harder it is for me to just forget this stuff and move on. I haven't told my FH HALF of what she says & does because I don't want to put him into a bad position, but I'm debating it now. Part of me thinks he should know...He's great & he ALWAYS backs me, but I suspect he thinks I'm a little nuts because I let the few things that he's aware of stay with me for so long...he has no idea how much worse she is than he knows...I don't know...I think I'm going to let him know tonight...

It MUST be the water there! My friend & I were talking about the 'small doses' last night...her monster-in-law lives 20 min. away so she sees her more frequently. The thing is, it's never as 'concentrated' as I see my FMIL. She can leave the room, go shopping, keep the visit short...our visits are always to their home for 3-4 days and I have to deal with this woman the ENTIRE time...I can't escape...makes me NEVER want to go there anymore...So it seems like both near and far have their pros and cons. May we NEVER be MILs like these women!!!

for you! Don't worry - only about 4 or so more weeks and then after the wedding you can severly limit your time w/ her.... you just have to get thru the next few weeks

Re: I hate my FMIL

Thanks so much ladies

It was all really over something that's really small & stupid, so I've decided to give her this one to end it. Or at least to end it for her...I'm so tired...mentally & physically, I just want to end it for now (until she picks something else to start an argument over). I'm going to ask my FH if he could talk to his dad this weekend (he'll be in town for the bachelor party) about his wife's behavior & interference. A lot of this stems from his not telling her to respect her role in things (which is nothing - my FH barely knows this woman yet she's totally acting like a diva mom). Maybe if he talks to him without the psycho around they can come up with a good game plan...I hope...She's alienating me from the family
