I just went yesterday to get it cut...obviously I didn't cut it short (the way I want) because I need it long for the wedding...but we had to cut off a decent amount because the last time I cut it was 8 months ago...
Now its at this terrible length and I hate it...there's no way I'd wear it like this if it weren't for the wedding...part of me wants to just cut it short and then wear a short style for the wedding...sort of like one of those vintage short styles.
Bah...hopefully I'll grow to like it or it'll grow out to a place where I can at least deal with it...I miss my short hair!! The day after the wedding I am cutting it alllll off!!

Honestly--I really like the cute vintage look. If that is your natural style, then I say go for it! There's no need to torture yourself for 8 more months if you think you'd look more like you and be happy with a cuter hair do. Lots of girls are rocking the short style, and with your dress it would look really pretty!

I agree - if you usually have short hair, then a shorter, vintage style would be PERFECT! Plus, I think it totally goes with your dress and you could do one of those smaller veils or like a feathered clip or something to top it off!
Plus, it will save your aggrevation of having to deal w/ the long hair when you get ready = it's torture for me!

I gotta get my hair chopped too. I'm gettin 2 inches off and then leaving it until the wedding.
If you want long hair extensions are always an option.

Are you wearing your hair straight or curly for the wedding? If it's straight, you can always do extensions. That way you can cut it short now.

I had the same problem.. I told my mother to ANGEL it from my chin-down... all she heard was CHIN.. so I had this ugly/ANNOYING length... I just clipped it back for a month... honestly, it worked out because ALL my dead ends were gone. I'm trying to grow out my perm and color, so I'll have virgin hair for the wedding.
its just a sacrifice we have to make- (and it su cks!)

Ooooo you girls are really tempting me lol...I figured out if I put the front of my hair up I don't look nearly as bad...but I can't leave it down or I look like one of those poodles with the long ears
I think my BM (also my hairdresser) and I are gonna play around in January with a hairstyle...if nothing happens that I like, I am definitely going to cut it short and just wear it that way...use the comb I got to pull one side back. I already decided on a cage veil (just have to buy it)...now I am thinking that I like this idea more and more...and then I can cut my hair!!!!

ugh i so know how you feel. i'm dying to cut my hair short but i have 2 months left and it's getting pretty long now so i need to just suffer and wait it out... i literally wear my hair in a ponytail every day because its so poofy and i cannot do anything with it when its this long and gross. i've always wanted long curls for my wedding though so i'm gonna endure it.
if you can get away with an awesome short hairstyle for your wedding though, i'd def go for it. i'm sure you can pull it off!!
