I HATE my moms boss

so ive posted before that he is basically firing her..

well he said she could stay through the end of Dec and train someone knew. He also owes her 3 weeks vacation.

So the @ss tells her today that 12/14 can be her last day because he doesnt think she needs to train the new person for that long.

I think he is doing this so that he doesnt have to pay her through Dec and then 3 weeks after that for her vacation. Plus its the holiday season.. I REALLY HATE HIM. After everything my family has done for his buisness.. he should burn in he!!

i know when my dad was forced into early retirement i wanted to go in there and rip them a new one, it makes you feel so helpless

i hope your mom finds something else soon and something even BETTER

I feel so bad for her, she made his buisness her life and worked so hard to build it up for him and she is treated this way... she is in her 50's with no college degree and she is afraid no one will want to hire her. all she does is cry

I feel so bad for her, she made his buisness her life and worked so hard to build it up for him and she is treated this way... she is in her 50's with no college degree and she is afraid no one will want to hire her. all she does is cry

we honestly thought it was the end of the world when my dad lost his job. he came here from italy with no college degree and he has an accent - he was in his 50s at the time and had worked at the same bank for over 30 years!!!

well, we had a few tough years where my dad worked a few different jobs ( you think SEXISM is bad? AGEISM is RAMPANT in ALL areas of the workforce, it is so disgusting and it changed how i interact with all of my older coworkers!! )

anyway, a few years ago he got a seasonal job at the airport at almost minimum wage, from there he got into Alitalia and now he really loves his job! He gets to speak Italian all day and help people - he works tons of overtime and my parents are doing much better. Now, its like he cant imagine working at a bank!

Sorry so long, just wanted to let you see there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there are so many opportunities out there even when it feels hopeless!

OMG- I HATE him too!! That is soo f'd up that he is letting your mom go ...AND right before the holidays... AND for NO reason!! Its not like she screwed up or is a bad worker.

I wanna go beat him up with his flip flops!!!

I'm sure she can find another job. Does she have any contacts in her field.

I would use these 2 weeks to gather info and clients lists to sabatage the fu*k!!!

wow that is horrible!!! thank goodness your dad is doing much better and is happy where he is now!!! Ageism does succk!! its not right. And i know its important to have a dcegree but experience is much more important sometimes.

WOW Gina im sorry to hear all this! In the end this is probably better for her since wasnt her health suffering bc of him? I could always see if they are hiring at my moms doctors office or my brother's dealership if you want!
