i hate my neighbors

All day today they had their kids in the pool . . . and all the kids play is 'HELP I AM DROWNING!!!'

I ran out like four times today. . . they do this every day, and every summer so you would think i would get used to it but every time i think 'what if this is the one time i dont go out there and they are really drowning'

i had to close my windows bc it was making me so upset and i actually have nightmares about people drowning i cant stand it!!!!!!!!!

when i was young if i screamed HELP in the pool my parents made me get out for the rest of the day - when we used to play lifeguard we made up the word 'Pleh' ( help backwards ) and we would yell that out instead.

they are so loud and obnoxious - yuck

OMG - that's nuts- talk about crying wolf. My neighbor's little girl screams bloddy murder in the pool and I always thing something happened. But, no- he brother just wont give her a pool toy and that's her way of getting her father's attn. Now the father is so immune to it- she keeps screaming and he ignores her!

i am pretty sure they are left unattended - it drives me nuts

i really would like to say something but my parents are always worried about offending people they won't let me ( i live at home )

oh boy...that would drive me crazy!!

Maybe a little annonymous (typed, of course) letter into their mailbox would suffice?? That way no one would know it's from you, their parents could do something about it (if they don't already know) and your mom doesn't have to be worried about offending the neighbors.

If I heard kids yelling that all day, I would freak out and run outside too. Like you said, you never know - one time it could be for real.

The parents really should make them use another word.

my parents used to make us get out if we yelled help or anything like that too. all my friends parents were the same way.
their parents need to learn the difference between appropriate and not appropriate.

WOW that is terrible. I would say something to their parents. They should not allow their kids to do that, GOD FORBID they are actually drowning, now one is goingto run out and help them.

no seriously. next time u hear them screaming, call the cops and say as little girl next door is drowning.. please come quick.. the cops wll come.. bust down their front door to get to the pool only to find out the child was lying.. they will give the parents an EARFUL and in turn the parents will give the kids AN EARFUL and it won't happen again!

*okay so maybe they won't bust down their front door* but it should be a pretty dramatic scene with the cops and fire trucks and emt's all racing over...

That is seriously awful. Their parents should sit and have a talk with them. Also where are their parents when they are yelling this? I hope they aren't in the pool unattended because that is pure insanity. As a parent they shouldn't let their kids scream something like that to cause a panic.

I hate my neighbors too...right now the a hole is literally blasting his freakin music so loud I can literally feel the vibrations on the floor. All this while I try to finish 431 report cards!! What is wrong with people?

the parents are lucky someone like you is around to hear it because obviously they don`t run out when they hear it so the one time it`s real they are going to ignore it!!! they`ll be sorry they ever let them play like that. i`d be out of the pool for the day when i was a kid!!
