I Hate My Travel Agent--Updated Below

Actually, I have done more work than she has for our honeymoon.
Now I know why we always book things on our own.
I was the one who found out jetblue started flying to aruba and wound up saving us $600. (thanks to LIW)
I was the one who found out the hotel changed hands and contacted them to ease my mind (and got us some free extras in the meantime)
She changed the hotel on the confirmation, but wouldnt you assume that your TA would tell you?
I just feel she is the most disorganized person I have ever dealt with.
Havent heard from her in months, she called thursday and told us she needs the payment today.
When i go in there, I am going to have a nice long talk with her.

Update--

Meeting with TA was worse than I thought it would be. FH is going to meet with the manager tomorrow.

Basically, she kept trying to cover up all her mistakes and finally got caught in a lie when I asked why she didnt tell us the hotel changed hands, so she called the hotel b/c she was trying to just say it was a name change and not a management change, meanwhile, I told her that I been in contact with the hotel already.

She just kept making things worse and digging herself deeper. We will see what happens tomorrow

This is exactly why I didn't use a TA for our HM...I was able to research and plan the entire trip myself...and when DH called them just to get them to come up with something to show us, they told us our budget was 'impossible.' Well, I got MORE than we had asked/anticipated for less than we thought...far less than the TA said it would take.

That really stinks. I fully understand what you're going through. Make sure you get everything in writing!!!! We had the same type of TA, maybe they're related. But ours ended up dying and her stuff was so disorganized that the agency said we stilled owed after we made the final payment! I have to say that our HM was great, dispite the bumps in the road! Good luck!!! Don't take anything for granted.

BTW.... Does your TA work for a company with the initials S T S?
