Yes our wedding is on a Thursday, I told all of my friends and fam before we booked and I sent of my STD's like 9 or 10 months ago, why is it now that people have a prob with the fact that its on a Thursday. What the hell did they think the std was for. It's not just to take up space on the fridge dummies, its for you the make note of the date and remember it. FH chose the date because it was much cheaper for us and now he's saying that it's my fault if people can't make it......I've had it!

Some people are just stupid and NEED to follow 'the norms' of society (like having a wedding on a Saturday night) ... and when you don't do that, they can't wrap their heads around it.

I agree with the girls. Focus on who will be there and how they'll make you feel and not those that will complain now only to show up anyway and complain again. They're not worth your time or emotion. Re: FH...Men are babies sometimes and don't want to face reality but don't worry, all he wants to do is marry you whether Monday morning or Thursday

As for FH blaming you when he was the one who chose the date, just know that you're not alone. It must be part of the male genetic makeup to not take responsibilty when things don't go as they planned. MEN!

Anyone who really wants to be there, will be there. Plus, it's the Thursday before a holiday weekend. I don't know how other companies are but I know we will have a 1/2 day that Friday (7/2 which is my birthday!) so if I were going to a wedding that Thursday I wouldn't complain at all!

I am right with u about ppl not getting the point of and STD. one of our guests RSVPed no b/c she lost it and RSVPed to someone else already
u hate ppl sometimes, I hate them all the time
but, Kamai most important is that u gonna look so fabulous and gorgeous on the day, u wouldnt care who is there, even if u and ur FH are the only ones there (that is what I keep telling myself LOL )

I got married on a sunday and it was fathers day... many people had $hit to say ( oh i was cheap,oh i was inconsiderate..blah blha) and we gave them plent of notice.. my STD's went out alomt 5 months in advance if not more. I could care less and everything was perfect
There will always be talk- dont worry. Those who want to share in your day will be there without fail and no smack talk....
No stress- enjoy this phase and look forward to the future.

I think people will always complain about anything. I got married on a Saturday afternoon in NJ and people complained about driving to NJ.
