at this point, it looks like NOONE is coming to our wedding- 25 yes, 25 no.. half of fh family will be in canada to attend another wedding, most of his colleagues are out of the country for a urology conference, and god knows how many are going on vacation that weekend. i am so depressed, i wish that we could just cancel the wedding and elope!

I understand....we invited 242....so far we have gotten back from 143 and only 99 have said yes...and we guarenteed 180. I thought we would hit that # no problem with all the people we invited. But it seems like everyone is on vacation that week.

We are having similar issues. Very good friends of the family have their grand daughters wedding scheduled for the same day at the Waldorf. I was so upset when I found out her day because they already knew mine over 6 months in advance. ETS: The entire family was invited ---it still makes me angry L

I hear you! We only invited 145 and since we gave everyone so much notice and tried to only invite really close friends and family, we thought AT MOST maybe 20 people wouldn't come. Right now, we only have 88 people definite, 20 who STILL haven't sent in RSVPs (the reply date was 6/25 BTW), and 40+ who aren't coming I'm happy that we're having our wedding but it just seems like such a waste of $$ for so few people -- especially since we probably have to pay for our 125 minimum anyway. I just hope we break 100 -- I went to our best man's wedding and there were only 100 people there and it still seemed well-attended

I am the opposite. We have 210 invited and are hoping that about 40 won't come. So far we have 45 people coming and 3 not. But RSVP's do stink!!
