I hate shopping!

I hate shopping!

I just spent about 3 hours at Roosevelt Field looking for a dress for 2 weddings I have coming up...........nothing! I came back with 2 new MAC lipglosses. That's it. That's 3 hours of my life wasted in a mall. So I'm wearing a black dress I have in my closet to these weddings. I'm bummed because I wanted to wear something different, something wtih a little color........I always go back to the basics. I feel like every dress I tried on is made for someone who is a size 2. Anyway, just had to vent. I officially hate shopping!

I hear ya! I was all set to go to Macys at the Smithaven Mall and I drove by and the parking lot was mobbed. There was no way I was going in now. I think maybe I will go back later tonight like 8 pm when hopefully less people will be there!

Everytime I go dress shopping and can't find anything I go to Dress Barn. I don't know why but I always find something really nice to wear there. Try it...it beats the mall!

Thanks ladies............I live so close to Estelle's, why didn't I think of that before the trek to Roosevelt FIeld? I'll try there this week, I refuse to shop today, it's too nice outside.

Thanks again!

at least for my wedding, you already have your dress! And it's NOT black!!! .

I feel your pain about shopping, but at least you got the lipgloss!

And there's nothing wrong with black! You can always dress it up with the accessories, if you have to! You're gonna look beautiful no matter what you wear... you always do!

Have you tried Ann Taylor or the Loft?

They have quite a few dresses.

I have had this problem in the past, then i discovered that J. Crew has a lot of awesome dresses. Check out thier website. They have long and short, formal and casual. I bought the dress i wore to a friends wedding and just bought my RD dress from them. They fit really well too. I know there is a store in roosevelt field but i never went in so i don't know what the in store selection is like. With the online shipping pay for standard and you will stil get it in 3 days.

Banana Republic has cute dresses - I got a really pretty burnt orange dress w/spaghetti straps and a strapless red dress from them. Spring/summer dresses will be on sale now too!
