i hate the paperwork of being a teacher

ugh .....the grading, attendance, cut cards, plan books.....its so hard to keep up sometimes!!!! i'm sitting here on a friday night FINALLY filling in my class rosters into my gradebook which i only use to keep attendance in.....grades i use a computer program......next up plans for next week....it gets so tedious!!!

ok pity party over......time to have a glass of wine

i use a program provided by my school district called MicroGrade....so easy to use, you can set it to points or weights, and it calculates the average automatically, you can set it to drop lowest grades, have extra credit, even eliminate an assignment if its something a student cant make up......I would be LOST without it!!!!

I can relate! I am a city teacher and we have to ridiculous paper work. Pre-tests, post-tests...but instead of just grading the tests we have to use a sheet per student to doc which # they got wrong, what they still need to work on, what did I do as a teacher to help them...For every unit. It's crazy!

Plus, I think the city is def going to start rating math and ELA teachers based on students state test scores. Whoo hoo! I can't wait!

Oh, and I am teaching in the Saturday Academy program now to make extra money for the wedding. I am going to go CRAZY!

I need a whole bottle of wine and then some!

My school can't afford a program that you buy so we are using a free online program called engrade. Go to engrade.com

The paper work is killing me too!!!! I'm doing Saturday Academy too starting next week for extra wedding money!

english teacher here--grading is the WORST part of the job especially when progress reports are due on wednesday

ugghhhh...i have been grading ****** essays for 2 days now...and the kids are like when r we gettig the essays back?
