I sent out invites last Friday and pretty much everyone I have spoken to has already received them. However, my grandmother who lives down the street from the post office where I sent them out has not gotten hers yet. Clearly the a**holes lost it! This after they said they would take very good care of them. With grandma it is not a big deal because I can give her one of the extra ones but I am wondering if any others have been lost that I don't even know about! This is so frustrating
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything I could do other than call people and make sure they received them???

Re: I hate the post office!!!
I would hold off on calling until your RSVP date comes around. If you haven't heard from certain people, then you can call and explain you are worried theirs was lost as well.

Re: I hate the post office!!!
I feel your pain. With the postal increase smack in the middle of our invites, it worsened the already dreaded postal nightmare. I am waiting til a day or 2 after my RSVP date and then I am going to make calls to the guest that I have not heard from. Some have told me they sent the RSVP back and I never received it and some never got my invite at all. So it can happen on the way out, or the way back! Just call after your RSVP and speak to the guest directly!

OMG seriously?? That is such a nightmare!!!! I worked so hard on making the invites awesome and they weren't cheap either and for 61c a stamp the least they could do is not lose them!!!
If I lost important documents at my job, I would get fired. How is it okay for them???

Re: I hate the post office!!!
Ours cost like 84 cents each to mail and I don't understand why the post office doesn't forward for that. We used forever stamps on the return envelopes so luckily we didn't have issues with the RSVP cards except that some seemed to take about 2 weeks to come back from a few towns over.
Some of my friends in CA got theirs quicker than family in FL and on Long Island oddly enough so I'd wait a few days before freaking out.

Re: I hate the post office!!!
One of our friends in TX never got the invite. Thankfully they emailed us about a month before to ask if we had sent anything out. I also had issues with one post office telling us it would be 1.00 per invite (and then 1.05 post increase) and then having another post office tell me it was only 0.79 (after I sent them all out)....very frustrating.

Re: I hate the post office!!!
actually I had this same problem! I mailed them from my house post office in Astoria and everyone got there, even guests in FL and the two people that live in Astoria didnt get them until like 2 weeks later
