I called Monday to make an appt cause my car has an oil leak. They couldn't fit me in until Thursday (so I dropped off my beetle Wed night). Yesterday I called a million times and kept getting voice mail (he called me first and I was returning his call, so I left two messages). This morning still no call from VW. I call again and again get voice mail. Finally at 11:50AM I get a person and she tells me they haven't even looked at my car yet! W T F! I am never taking my VW to get fixed again - screw the warranty it is not worth it!

I always go to Donaldson's and never had a problem. I always get my car back that day.

When I had my Jetta - I'd drive to Donaldson's from Bayville (about 45 minutes) because their service department was so conscientious.

Ugh - I should have gone there. At least I know for next time - thanks! I live in Smithtown so it is super convenient, but obviously SO not worth it.

I agree they are horrible. I have been getting voicemail for a week, and I can't shift the car out of park!!!

My mom has a vw and hates their service dept too. She has taken her car in 6 times for the same problem and they still have not fixed it. I feel so badly for her.

OMG - I hate the voicemail. I have gotten it SO many times. They HAVE my car, and I can't even get a hold of anyone. I miss my car

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THEM. I had nothing but problems with them when I had my Bug. I am shocked to hear someone had a pleasant experience with those boneheads!

This week I sent 2 emails to set up a service appointment (Amityville dealer) & got no reply so I decided to call. They said the earliest they could fit me in was Sept. 7!!!!!!!!!
I then called the Hicksville dealer & he was no better. What the hell!?
