but a bigger peeve is when i see 'should of' instead of 'should've' ... drives me absolutely crazy

thats one of my pet peeves too... my sister always spells it wrong..

she actually says ALLOT!

Someone else pointed out about the 'A lot' and I always type 'alot'

Well, now I don't because I put spell check on my internet. LOL.





They're and There and THEIR is my worst pet peeve. LEARN THE DIFFERENCE!

theres more, but i cant think of them now.
but a mistype is understandable...

and i cant stand, more then anything, when people write an dont use punctuation. like my mom will write an entire email without using a comma, period, question mark, exclamation point, nothing!! so its one complete run-on sentence/paragraph.

also, this is really funny about spelling ALOT (as one word):

ME TOOOOO!!!!!!!!! HATE IT. Im terrible though - Im constantly wanting to correct people.

My mom doesnt know the difference btwn WHERE and WERE ..

How do you not know the difference?!?

On my bridal shower invite she decided to make them herself and wrote ..

'WERE THE MEMORIES BEGIN...'

I am sure when I am typing quickly I have screwed them up every now and then (OH then and than!!!) but people CONSTANTLY use the wrong ones and it makes me NUTS.

I hate when people spell things british-european style with the u's after the o's where they shouldn't be... like for instance:

colour
favourite

When people write 'past away', I swear, the hair on the back of my neck stands up.

Misuse of they're/their/there - it drives me bonkers.

There's a ton more, but I think I block them out until they're staring me in the face from the computer monitor.

That doesn't bother me if they're truly from there, or any other country where that is the norm.

If they're not, then they just come across as Detroit Madonna acting like a Brit.
