I hate when ppl heard it's for a wedding they started raising price!

just called a cab company to book some cab rides for my guests ( a 5minute ride essentially)!

okay i admit i'm trying to be cheap because i don't need anything fancy for a 5 min ride!

the salesperson asked me what event it is for so i had to tell her it's for a wedding and the minute she heard it she started telling me i need 3 hour minumum? (even for a cab!) i mean WTH? i can't even get a regular cab for the guests because they are going to a wedding? and why in the world do i have to pay for three hours for 5 minute ride?

We went back and forth and I finally told her there's no way i'm doing a three hour minium. i need cab rides! not 3-hr charter.. and she gave me a cab quote substantially higher than others and told me max she can gave me is 4 cabs (which is fine 'cos i can always call other companies) but i'm just annoyed how ppl try to over charge as soon as they heard the word 'wedding'

that is ridiculous. Next time you should just lie and say it's a family get together.

In a way it's still the truth.

I can't believe people do this! You would think these days they would take any business they can get.

I know right?! I even told her.. yes you can send four cabs and they can go back and pick up more guests after they are done so they can do 2 trips each.

I thought i was being nice and this would work both ways. but she told as long as I have to send them back for more ppl, i have to book them for 3 hours! Incredible!

I say trick those bastards. Tell them it's a family get together and if they still won't give you enough cabs... then haev someone else call to reserve some cabs to for the address across the street or next door.

Hahaha thanks! yes I'm going to do that. but im going to ditch the 1st company anyways.. i called a second one who didn't ask me about 'the type of event' and the quote was substantially lower and no ridiculous 3hr minimum... bastards won't get my business.

they can be unprofessional. they're probably thinking 'hey, she's spending an arm and a leg for a wedding anyways, we might as well get the max!' how rude.
