I hate when vendors read our posts

It's so funny becasue I got an email from my old florist telling me that she was not 'shady' for standing me up. I love it that they have too much going on in their lives to show up to an appointment but not too much going on that they can read our posts.

If you are reading this, you know who you are, how bout an apology for not showing up instead of disputing that fact that I think you are 'shady'

I understand. I was in the brides review board, and there is a post from a daniella who got married at Raphel Vineyards. Well, it was her first post, and only review her photography, L**i, take a look, it fake. So I posted that it was, and my post was removed!!

some nerve !!! I swear. and then I get the statement that 'some things are larger in magnitude than MY day' All I wanted was a freakin phone call. geez

This is a public forum and anyone can read these posts.

What this vendor did to you is wrong, and unjustified. However, the vendor approaching you about it is better than nothing.

Day Late and a Dollar Short - you've now found another vendor and won't have to deal with them again.

hahah! yes, they are 'shady' - that is so annoying that they had the time to email you, but now show up!

You're absolutely right. If she doesn't have time to make your appt or at least give you a phone call then where does she find the time to lurk on here????

Sorry about the situation. But at least now you know you made the right decision going with someone more reputable.

your post was removed for two reasons.
1. the bride is not fake (we look into these things)
2. we have requested numerous times that if you see a problem to please FM us so we can look into it. to many times people have called others out (so to speak) and were wrong. this is one of those times.

thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

i've had a lot of vendors read my posts.

some have owned up to it, others I found out later did.

that's why i would never had said something like 'oh my gosh, so and so is a great vendor but their price was too high. but you know what, i think i'll pay it because i love their work.' Then they'd know that they didn't have to reduce their price, etc. It kills me to see new brides come on, talk about a wedding hall that I KNOW reads posts and then say, 'oh, i think we are going to go with them even though it's a little pricey.' the hall will never come down in price after seeing that!

i had a 'talk' a couple of times with vendors i didn't end up using because they read what i wrote and called and left mean messages!

it is a public forum so i always 'try' to make the right comments.

I think it was very unprofessoinal of this vendor to stand you up and not even call to say they couldn't make it.

Unfortunately though, Christine is right. This is a public forum and as a result anyone can be here. But it is rather amusing that they have time to be here and lurk while somehow they couldn't make it to your appointment!!

I had a vendor FM me suggesting that I should change my wedding date because it was very close to Valentine's Day and the price of roses would be very expensive. I was also told that this vendor could save me a specific amount of money if I moved my date which to me was not significant enough to revamp my ENTIRE wedding. I thought it was presumptuous and rude to assume that I couldn't afford a specific service. I thought it was presumptuous to assume that I even WANTED roses. There were VERY specific reasons as to why we chose the date that we did.

I never asked for a quote. I wasn't even putting out feelers. This came out of nowhere and frankly, I was insulted. It is bad enough that I get the annoying mailings and phone calls.

ah huh!!

I found out the hard way they read the posts....I had bad mouthed my brothers photographer and with good reason...he still does not have his photos 2 years later!

Apparently the photographer figured out who I was in relation to my brother and called him about my post. I told my brother, I'll change it if you want me to, and he said no.

But hey, if my brother had a good experience with them, I might have considered using them!!

A few vendors who FMed me out of nowehere have been helpful, but luckily for the most part, I haven't been bothered!!

One vendor read my post on BHB and he FMed me. He was actually very helpful. It had nothing to do with his product or service, but he still contacted me to give me info. I thought that was nice of him.

This happened to me as well and it was not to solicit business at all - just answering a question I posted on BHB. The vendor was right on too although some LIW girls were close.
