I used to be on the 5th floor, had a nice window seat, my back to the window....overlooking the LIE and could see for miles and miles......no one could sneak up behind me and see my screen...
NOW they moved my department to the 1ST FLOOR....NO WINDOWS.,...and I am in an aisle seat right before the bathrooms....and EVERYONE walks past my cube to get there and people flat out STARE AT MY FRIGGIN SCREEN! I know because I see them looking through the reflection in my cubicle windows.....it drives me NUTS! And when I am eating, people walk by and STARE AT MY FOOD! There's NO PRIVACY at all!
I hear ya!!! My office has no windows and that is bad enough but it is set up with a huge center area and the 'big guys' have offices off of this main room. Guess who is sitting at the head of the room? Yup, yours truly. Like I am the center of this 3 ring circus!

I know how you feel. I'm the first cubicle when you come onto the floor. Everyone sees my screen. It drives me crazy. Since I'm the first one they see, I'm always asked where so and so sits.

You could get one of those screens that go over the monitor so people can't see it, but you can. Sort of an advanced glare shield.

I am in my 3rd cube since I started working here 4.5 years ago. I hate my cube, and I cannot change it. We arent allowed since they split our office up into sections. It is ridiculous.
I used to sit in the cube that is next to me for the first 3 years I worked here, and then I finally got sick of people banging into my cube when they walked by. The cybe was in a main aisle on the corner. Then I moved to a nicer cube that was in a less traveled row and now I am right next to my original cube. It stinks. People always have conversations right behind me. I want to put up a sign that says No Solicting.

me too! I'm in a romm that's at the end of a hallway. ther eis a half book case separtignme fromt eh hallway. peopel sneak up on me all the tine. I am also the first desk peopl see on the way to the boss's office, so they think I am the secretary! Drives crazy, b/c I have no idea where the boss is & when he'll be back, but people ask me all the time!
Really the best seat would be in another office!

He thought I meant I wanted to rent space for an office.....
