I don't know what kind of dress you are looking for but Ann Taylor has some pretty ones, and the dept have quite a few. I am partial to Lord and Taylor or Macys for dresses.
Go to bloomies in Manhattan, they have a great dress department. To save some $$$, try White House Black Market (there is one in the Queens Mall, and I am sure there are others around).

Looking for a silky shift dress. Solid color. I'm loving yellow. The dress I ordered was red and so cute but just too revealing!

try this site, i went to all the department stores and couldnt find anything for my shower, maybe it was bad timing and they didnt get new things in.
They were able to ship it to me overnight and got it next day
Great to know! I have worked until 8 for the past 3 weeks and worked on the weekends so I haven't had a second!!! Thanks Denise.

Yes, it's still so cute but the slit in the back goes up to my behind!
ugh, that *****. where are you, in the city or LI? If you're in the city just hit Bloomie's or Lord & Taylor, or even Macy's after work. If you're on LI i'm no help....but I know there's tons of malls out there. Definitely DON'T STRESS though. Just look around casually and try on what you like, you'll find something.

yeah i didnt have time either and the though of running around from store to store to store for 2 days to find something was just getting me tired thinking of it. I happened to find the site the thursday before my shower and loved 2 dresses, bought them both. I knew one seemed to be a bit short so ordered a 2nd just in case and yes it was short like i thought so i wore the other one

Yeah I should have thought about the length! I have long legs and everything is short on me!

Go to lord and taylor they have a TON of dresses and cute ones as well! I just got a BCBG dress that was 300 bucks for 85 bucks the other day! Worth a shot!
