I have a couple of questions.

I figured I would post all of my questions in one post instead of making many: :)

Question #1: So , this morning my FMIL informed me that the RH doesn't do place cards. Has anyone heard of this? They said that it prevents wedding crashers, and as much as I appreciate that, I had plans for doing a ribbon place card board. I just want your opinions on what you would think if you went to a wedding and they asked you for your name and told you your table number instead of using a place card?

Question #2: for petal cones, how many petals did you guys order and how many cones did you have? I just did a test run of the petal cones and I figured 1 rose for every 2 cones. Is that about right???

Question #3: If I did a candy bar for my shower, should I do it for the wedding?? It was such a big hit, and everyone loved it so I wanted to do it for the wedding, but one of my BM's is saying that it may be a bit redundant.

To answer question 1, my sister had that at her wedding at East Wind and it wasn't a problem at all. I think it's actually nicer than the place card. If you still wanted to do a ribbon board, you can always put pictures of family and friends up there.

1~ I feel that is fine. I see no problem with that.
2~ Your florist should give you a bag of pedals. You should not have to pay for them. They pick up the ones from the floor up or they use the dying ones. One per person and you should not have to order them they are FREE FREE FREE!
3~Who does not love candy! Do it!

She told me she will give me the flower girl petals for free, but that I would have to pay if I need alot more for the petal cones. She only said like $25 extra. Is that bad?

1- we went to a wedding at dante's and they had 2 people at the door to the room taking the names. it was fine, the only thing was that the lines got long and was a bit annoying.
