I have a florist question too

I have a florist question too

so I got 2 quotes for all that I want. I think they are way too much money for what I want. so my question is, can I call them and ask for a different set up completely (I also think I want something a little bit different now), asking for a lower quote?
how do I do that? I am very bad with negotiating

Definitely!!

I think you can either call them and say you've been giving it some thought and you want these different things, how much would that be? or you can be honest and say look, that's not in my budget, how can we get it down to whatever it is you want to pay.

I'm bad at negotiating too, but I think you have to just ask for what you're looking for!

Im bad negotiating too but i have realized that when it comes to weddings everything is negotiable.
Im sure that if go back to them and express to them what your budget is then maybe they can work with you and present something more reasonable.

thanks! I think I will. the only problem is that I have this pic from a magazine which I love that CP, should I just emailed to one of them and just point blank say: changed my mind. want this. how much?
too bridezilla? too bichy?

i think you should just tell them its not in your budget and then tell them what your budget is and what you want and they will work with you!

It is the only day that you can get away with demanding what you want. Its your day!

haha! love ur way of thinking!

well I did tell them my budget and they set it up on the higher side of it which now I cant afford / think is too much for flowers. that's why I'm so hesitant about best way to go about it....

Maybe I would contact them and tell them that their last quote was too high and would it be cheaper if you used the pic from the magazine.

good idea! that way you get both of your points across in a nice way.

if the cost is still high, ask how they could lower it (less flowers, different vase, different flowers)...

Another option is to bring the picture back in with you and ask how they can do it and what other options can they give you. We got my flowers down $700 by alternating low CP's and the more extravagant ones. Also, my florist cut out flowers on the pews because they are kind of a waste of money. You are there for an hour tops and then the flowers are just left at the church/ceremony.

that's actually my problem. I got the most minimum of minimum things. no flowers for the ceremony room, just the huppah draped in white (we're getting married at the RH), CP's and my bok, MOH's and 6 botouniers
CP's are high but in a square vase with a few branches and one orchid.
where else can I cut??? thats why I'm so upset

I think that's where asking them where they think you can cut might help. Maybe it will be something you've never thought of like getting different vases. I would go back to them, have the picture and your real budget (I always give vendors the lower end of my budget, not the higher end) and ask them what they can do for you.

Be honest with them- tell them your budget, what you want, and see if they can work with you. They want your buisness so they will do what they can to help you!

Have you considered getting the botouniers at a different local florist. For example, I wanted to give my BM's a Calla Lilly with their cards at my Engagement Party. I contacted the florist from the wedding to see if they could give me 8 cellophane wrapped Calla Lillies. They told me it would cost $10 a stem. I thought that was crazy. They actually told me to go to a local florist and I did. The cost dropped to $5 a stem.
