I am meeting with my first photographer today. So excited Any tips on what to ask, and should we negotiate the price?

Always try and negotiate. If they say 5K, ask for 4500. I know it's a long shot but always ask a little lower than what you really want to pay- then you can end up getting it for that price you had in mind! If they don't budge, ask for extras.

Ask if engagement pics are included? Do you receieve Thank You cards from them? How many hours are included in the price? Is there a 2nd photographer that stays with FH while he is getting ready? What size album? How many pics in the album? About how many pictures does he/she take on the day of? What is included in the price? Any proofs? Any enlargements? Do you get the proffs on a CD? Do you gain rights to the pictures?

i'm a terrible negotiator, so we didn't even try.
look for a comfort level w/ the individual make sure your package entitles you to the digital negatives flip through lots of albums to get a feel for the person
