So I have 5 BM's in my party and 2/5 love the long dress (jim hjelm posted here) and 2/5 like the short dress Vera wang maids (bubble dress) And the Vera Wang (I can't get a pic here but the link is: http://www.verawang.com/maids/) its the short cocktail dress that has a black band is actually cheaper than the Jim Hjelm long one. But regardless of the cost factor b/c my BM's don't seem to care. I have to make a decision on the dress. I can't figure which one to pick. The color will be the same in both dresses - Eggplant (purple) pls help!

THis long dress is gorgeous. Did the 2 that dont want it try it on? I dont ususally like myself in long gowns but tried on my own BMs dress and loved it. I havent seen the other choice.

It's soo weird the older girls love the short dress and the younger girls *they are in highschool age* like the longer , elegant dress??! what gives?

maybe the younger girls want to wear it to prom, and the older girls want to wear it to cocktail parties? haha
edit: my cousin will be 17 at the time of my wedding, and wants to re-wear her BM dress to her prom

Actually I think that exactly what their plan is b/c FMIL already asked me if I was up for shopping for the prom this weekend...??!!

bm long, bm short, bm long, bm short, bm long in the processional and standing on the altar?
nowadays it doesn't have to be the same dress and this is one way that everyone could be happy (assuming it would work for you of course)

i like that idea! especially if the younger BMs are wearing one dress and the older another.
