What is a 'chemical pregnancy'? I've never heard of this term, and I'm just curious. TIA

what LisaW said...basically it's a pregnancy that occurs but terminates itself VERY early, and you bleed around the time you get AF. You never miss AF because it all happens so early on.

and its VERY common, thats why dr's hate you testing before a missed period, because you could get a faint line, and then get AF a few days later.

The way my doctor explained it to me yesterday is the egg is fertilized by the sperm and implants itself...but something happens shortly after that and the egg dies. Its a pregnancy that is so new/young that it is har dto detect it on a sonogram too.
I guess I'm fortnate in the sense that my body is taking care of getting rid of the pregnancy on its own.
For me, the worst thing is knowing that I was PG but now I'm not...regardless of how young the pregnancy was.
