Re: I have a question
Im not sure what is the norm so that is why I am asking. I heard you should to be polite but most likely they won't come if they don't know you like that.

Re: I have a question
You usually do. The deacon is doing mine, so I will invite him with his wife.

Re: I have a question
i think you are 'suppose' to invite him to the RD and Wedding day! Dont wanna be rude but we arent invting ours! If it was a parish that he or i grew up in and had a father we knew for our whole life then yes i would..but in our case we arent! is that bad???

Re: I have a question
oy oy oy....this is a tough one. On one hand, its nice to invite them, but on the other hand, they are getting paid to perform the service!!!!!!!!!
We are inviting ours, only b/c he has a family history and its more than just 'business', but unless you really have a relationship with him/her, I don't think you have to.

Re: I have a question
I am, but mine is a family friend so even if he wasn't my officiant he'd be invited.
