while at the baby shower FHs family kept asking when the wedding was.. why they hadnt heard anything.. no engagement party.. did you set a date? so im thinking maybe we should send out our STD sooner then we were thinking?... do you think its too soon? my mom and dad have offered to pay for them so we can save to book the photographer which i though was very sweet. WHAT DO YOU GIRLS THINK????

I agree I think STDs should be sent around the 1 year mark. Did you have an engagment party? Were you even planning to have one? It doesn't have to be a big party, maybe just a dinner bringing the two families together.

I didn't have one either! I would have loved to get everyone together but I never had time to plan it. At the time I was taking classes and working full time. I worked 8p-8a going in Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights. Then I would sleep Wednesday and go to class Thurs., Fri, and Saturday mornings!! I have since cut back my schedule!!! I have some family members who didn't know either even though I made a lot of phone calls.
I think if you send out stds in may or june it will be fine...They know you're engaged and planning it...They might not have the info now but its not that important for them to have that info so far in advance.

I am sendin gmine out in february. this way everyone knows and if they have to make plans and all they will know ahead of time. I know alot of people have OOT guest so it is good to get them out as soon as you can. I know alot of people in Fh family asks too that why were gonna send them out in feb.
I sent out little cards telling people we got engaged. I think it is too soon to send out the save the dates.
i sent out announcements in august.. and i felt that i didnt need to send STD till at least june... now people are hassling me for more info. im like well its june 13th 2008.. and their all like 'well we gotta go mark the calendar '
