I have a question...

Well... I would really like to get a Part-time job. Only a couple of nights a week. But, before I started to show, I couldn't get a PT job in retail. There are just too many people applying. Now since I am showing, I don't think anyone would hire me!!! My DH DOES NOT want me to work another job. I on the other hand would really like to. We could use the extra money right now. I thought I could get a seasonal job. That way it ends when the baby is suppose to show up. (Maybe! ) Where could I get a job that they wouldn't mind me being PG since it's only seasonal? Thanks!

Melissa, I think retail would be very difficult for a pregnant woman - especially b/c you have to work the 'sales floor' and all that standing is not good for a woman in your condidtion! I totally understand the need for extra cash, but you are right about it being difficult to get hired while you are showing...it's TOTALLY against the law for them to discriminate b/c of the pregnancy...but, nothing can stop them!

Melissa- only you know how much you can handle. I, personally, could not work 12 + hours a day at 6 months pregnant. I would be just exhustated and I highly doubt it would be very good for me to be under 'retail' stress- on your feet for hours, dealing with customers and the busy stores and very late hours.

Your body will go thru sooo many changes in the coming months. If you really want to get the other job, then that is up to you, but if it were me I don't think I could do it.
