I got my closing date today-- its March 4th , Anyway when should I switch over the utilities- should I call now? or wait til I have the keys-- I want everything to be set when we move in.

I did mine about 1 week before we closed. I think the previous home owner told me when they set up all the turn off's and then I changed everything to my name starting the date of my closing.

Im moving in on March 6th - on a sat but i will be in and out of my place on march 4 and 5th- I want electric at least.

You should do this 3-7 days before you close. You should also make sure the current owners are not shutting off the utilities. The shut-off of utilities can cause damage to systems, so the best case scenario is to transfer the accounts.
