I have a question for everyone here....regarding working

well...since my job is almost over for the summer, it turns out I will be without a paycheck for only 2 full months (June and July) totalling about $1200.

Timewise, I do not feel it is worth my time to find something to supplement this but money wise, it might be (I think we can swing it though).

To supplement my PT income I shop at thrift stores and goodwill and find stuff to sell on Ebay...and was planning on doing this anyways.

Do you think we can live without $1200 for the summer?

Thats not too much. Thats about one of my bi-weekly paychecks..obviously living here in NY is much more expense, but if it evens out, I can say We could go without one of my paychecks, it would be hard, we live paycheck to paycheck but we could certainly do it. I think you can too....Good luck!! Enjoy your time off, you need some relaxation...

p.s- start posting your E-bay listings on here, I have sold some stuff on Ebay to fellow LIW'ers!! -

As long as you're willing to sacrifice which it seems you are prepared to you can get by for 2 months.

I've sold and bought from LIW E-bayers....tomorrow I think I'm going to list my tiara. It's been over a year and I haven't taken it out of its' box!

It's past the 1 year rule!

I think if YOU think it is a good move...the do it.

what is the one year rule

One Year rule (more for clothes) is if you have not used/worn it in one year, get rid of it. Keeps clutter to a minimum (and allows for more shopping! )

Remember living in Georgia works both ways.

$1200 is probably not a lot to somebody living in NY. But to somebody in GA where the cost of living is so much less... $1200 would mean a lot more and missed a lot more.

I think that because you're moving into your new home, you'll end up needed the extra cash. Can you get a PT job somewhere? Maybe as a receptionist?

I agree with this. not only will you get paid, but you will get a much-appreciated discount
