A friend of mine who is jewish is getting married at a jewish center and the ceremony starts at 9 and the whole reception ends at 3AM . I hope i make it. This is a girl I have known since second grade we were in dancing school togetrher!

3am..... wow.. FH's grandfather was upset that ours is going until 12.. he wanted it to end earlier.. but I told him he would be dancing with me all night and wouldn't even realize it!

It seems like more people are having later night weddings...I think Chloegirl's ceremony and reception times are very similar, and it's also this Saturday.

well this is b/c they are jewish and have to wait til siundown on saturdays ya know. but it will be a blast i am sure of it!!

This is actually why we chose to have a Sunday night wedding. While Sunday nights can still be a pain, my parents didn't want people to have to stay out that late, especially elderly relatives.

I used to work for a caterer in a Jewish temple and the Sat night parties would always go that late. They can't start anything until after sundown (so the summer months are later than the winter months). Imagine eatig your dinner at 1am

My DH's sister had a wedding til 3am. I was falling asleep at 12. Mind you, we had to be there early in the day to take pictures while the sun was out.
