I HAVE AN AISLE TO WALK DOWN!!!

Ok so I stopped by the temple tonight to pick up a floor plan and I popped my curious little head into the sanctuary at the temple. I was pleasantly surprised. The sanctuary has been under construction this past year and I went there the first week of November and took pics then and now. There is a wedding there this weekend. I am most excited that there is a ramp for the handicapped. If my mom chooses to use it for her wheelchair, its there for her. There are some finishing touches and some intermediate construction between this weekend andmy wedding day, but the basic stuff is done!!! Three more weeks and the room is all mine - brand spanking new!

Very nice!!!

And someone was looking out for you by having you book a place that was being re-built. Newer construction is generally where you will find wheelchair ramps!

I think a picture angled like the second picture is a must atke picutre on your wedding day. It looks so grand.

Thanks. I nearly had a panic attack a few weeks ago - not being able to sleep because I thought it wouldn't be done. One less thing to worry about. Mom also has options as to how she can wait for me under the Chuppah. She wont be strong enough to walk at that point. She can either come from behind the altar from the Rabbi's study, OR she can be wheeled from the ramp on the side and they will move her wheelchair. Walking down isnt an option or even being wheeled down as there are three steps to climb and shes not steady enough yet on her feet. She's so excited. She wants to watch me and my brother walk down the aisle from the best seat in the house!
