I have an appt tommorow Nite!!!!!!!! and i have a question???

So i really need to get moving on booking a photographer.
I know my date is semi popular, at least on here.

I have an apt with Something in blue Jan 7th, the earliest they would take me and i know they are $$$$ and you dont really get anything album wise from them, its all extra. but i love their work.

So before i discovered SIB i was positive i would book Verdi. Something about their pics i loved. They are also $$$$ too. but i want to really compare my faves. so i made an apt for Tommorow (thurs) night to meet with them.

Now here is the question???

I really had my heart set on angelica glass, like really bad, but she wont see or talk to me til april, because of my date. so i really dont think it would be smart to wait til april, to possibly find out she booked my date and then it be april and most places be booked for my date. Am i being a bridezilla? Do most of you girls getting married in may-july 2008 want to have your photog booked before april?????

I wanted AG too, but she won't talk to me until then either. I'm not waiting......

I will be booking photog hopefully by the end of January. You are so NOT a bridezilla Nicole!!!! I can't wait for her either...

I probably wouldn't wait either...but angelica glass work is beautiful..what if you ask if your date is taken via phone, and see if they think that would be available in april. I was also thinking that if she doesn't want to meet with you because its too early, she probably won't meet with anyone else either for the same reasons..so you should be fine

You are probably right, but i emailed a ton of high end photogs asking if it was too early to meet with them.
All of them but one (natasha stazick) said it was not too early, and one was even booked already!!!!

Natasha's reason was that she doesnt know if she is doing weddings in 2008, and might want to start a family etc.

Angelicas reasoning was that it was too early and she doesnt know what she is doing in 2008.

i like angelica glass too...but i wasn't considering her for the day of...that being said im going to look into engagement pics with her or day after cuz i loveee that style for our couple shots! but not really for the whole wedding and rh.

so that's an option!

i wouldnt really wait because if she comes back and says shes not doing 08 then u might get upset etc. and then be scrambling to get a photographer....worst case scenario.

I agree---I probably wouldn't wait. . .I would be upset if I waited and then she was booked! That would not be good

I think everyone here has given great advice. I am looking into Angelica to do my e-pics and I am leaning towards 2 other photographers to do my day of pics. I too have an appointment with SIB in January and Kenny Pang and Milton Gil. Actually all the 'high end' photographers I called were all eager to meet in January and I also have to wait to meet with Angelica


I think that you should go with your gut! You always have the option to use Angelica for your e-pics or the day after shoot if it would give you piece of mind to book SIB or Verdi in January.

Thanks girls for all the advice!!!

Its sooo frustrating to have to wait to see angelica glass, but i have to say that its not meant to be then....There are tons of other amazing photogs that are giving me meetings left and right, and not even questioning my date being so far away.

It may even be better to go with a more experienced company, someone who has been around for a long time, and isnt going anywhere.

Im excited for tommorrow!!!!
