Re: I have an interview tomorrow!
When they ask if you have questions, HAVE questions. If you can't think of anything, general ones are always good. i.e. what is the culture of the company, room for growth, etc. Have a firm handshake, wear a suit, make eye contact, don't fidget. You know, the usual!Good luck!!! Don't forget, they need you just as much as you need them. Don't think of them as better than you!

SO happy for you! We were just discussing this!! I think Kelly above gave you some good advice. Also, be positive (but not cocky) - nothing worse than a interviewing a negative person (at least in my experience).

Thanks Kelly, that is good advice and a great way to think, they need me as much as I need them! Thanks Denise, first call back in a LONG time of sending resumes out, you know my frustration.

Re: I have an interview tomorrow!
I know your frustration as well. I've been out of work since June and I had my first interview last Thursday. It was the first one I had been on in 6 years. I have to actually go back tomorrow for the second interview. I'm glad I found this post

Re: I have an interview tomorrow!
Ooh! Another thing that everyone says you should do, but I never remember to do, is to mimic your interviewer's tone of voice and body language. Not too much to the point where it is freaky, but very subtly. Ex: If they are talking quiet, don't be overly loud. If they are talking loud, be more enthusiastic and dynamic. Don't be afraid to 'toot your own horn' or sound really excited. Fake it if you have to. And, just hope you don't get the 'why should we hire you' question. I HATE that one!! But be prepared for it just in case
Good luck MrsBtoBe also!!

Re: I have an interview tomorrow!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!! Email me the details! Is it on LI? What Co? How'd you hear of them?I agree with arming yourself with questions - it always helps and shows a lot of interest on your part. Are you fairly educated on the company as well? That's really important.
Just be assertive, friendly and confident - good luck with this!!!

Re: I have an interview tomorrow!
did you go? how was it?I can feel your pain...I haven't been on an interview in 3+ years...and started this summer...
I am a firm believer in a skirt suit...but some people might argue with me on this one...
I also try to look up questions they may ask me and prepare my answers...

Re: I have an interview tomorrow!
The interview went well. A very casual place, the guy who interviewed me was all over the place with talking so it was hard to gauge if he liked me or if he was interested in what I was saying. We'll see though if I get called back for a second interview. The commute is 20 minutes though, gotta love that, and seems like a challenging position so I am definitely interested. Thanks for all your help everyone!
