I have another table question..hope it's not too silly but

I know there are many different tables.

Sweetheart table
Guest tables
Cake table
Smaller table for gift cube
Seating card table

I plan on doing DIY's for all of these. What are all of you doing to show the hall how you want things decorated?

I was going to set up a table decorated the way I want it, take a picture, and give it to the person in charge.

Is this OK or is there another way?

That sounds great to me! I've read about halls not doing what the couple asked-but I think if they had a visual-they would remember and do it correctly.

Our place gave us a floor plan in which you write down how many favors you want per table. I also wrote and explained where I wanted each diy.

you can take a picture...i told my hall yesterday what i wanted done...and each box is labeled for where it goes/what it is....i plan on overseeing it on sunday anyway, but i am confident in their experience.

I think taking the picture is a very good idea. My brother did that for his wedding, and everything was exactly how they wanted it.

The picture is a great idea, and so is putting everything for each table in one box. I did that with the favors, menus, etc. I got the 'photo boxes' from Michael's. You can reuse them also.
