I have had ENOUGH! An overdue vent...

Enough is enough - I made my own petal cones MONTHS ago - apparently they grew legs and walked out of our home, because NO ONE can find them - I ordered some from Etsy - well lets say I couldn't GIVE them away - So that money was LOST - I ordered ANOTHER set of them - MUCH MUCH more $$$ - oh and guess what, they came in today, all damaged, the ribbons were all different lengths, they looked like something a kindergarten class would have made - so that seller will refund me my money MINUS SHIPPING AND SUPPLIES... W T F.. Oh and I have 37 days until the wedding.. What am I possibly going to MAKE my own petal cones.. and for sure I WILL NOT order them from another seller ... What to do... what to do.......

wow... id want to rip me hair out too... but lets think about this... are they necessary for you to have? can you do something instead like bubbles, which are very easy to order and you at least know they wont look like crap...

i may end up making ribbon wands... not sure if you want that look, but they seem fairly easy to make... just wrangle up those bm's and you'll get it done in wayyyy less than 37 days

Ribbon wands just may be the way to go at this point - Thanks for the idea - I am going to research the template for those

OMG I soo hate when things go missing like that. usually its my fault though.. because I do things mindlessly and since im not paying attention i just put it somewhere and forget where i put it. Either that or I try to put it in a safe place and totally forget where that safe place was. FH does it too... we are 2 bozos!

I'll bet you'll come across them after the wedding is over!

Sorry you lost them.

So there's no chance you would remake them?

the bubbles and the ribbon wands that futuremrsmazz suggested are good ideas.

also they have that heart shaped rice alternative in Michaels and AC Moore that you could use. You can put that in pretty much anything. Dani made her own silk flowers .. they are soo cute!

Ugh, that stinks!

Worst case scenario, you can print a circle template in word onto card stock and fold your own.

I also love the ribbon wand idea, I'd love to do it myself, but I think it might look stupid my time of year.

oh no so sorry that is horrible. Would you be willing to do bubbles, all you have to do is order them and theres no way those can come screwed up. Some sites even sell it with a ribbon around the little bottles or some other decoration.

i'm sorry that you can't find them! that must be so so frustrating!! well, i've never seen ribbon wands before until the pictures and can i just say... i LOVE them!! maybe that's a way to go??

I had petals thrown, my florist set it up. He put the petals in little pouches and there were 100 pouches in a basket at the church. See what your florist can do because it would make life much easier. If you were to go through with making petal cones then the morning of the wedding you have to worry about putting the petals into the cones. HTH
