I have her almost convinced

Well I wanted to add a little fun to the wedding - I wanted to do something different that would be rememberable so I brought up the idea that my friend - who will be at the wedding - does his [nearly perfect] Bob Sheppard impression and uses a friend of his recrording studio to put on on disk. Well he - on CD is introducing everybody as the Yankees would get introduced - while the DJ plays the song the Yankees come on to the field with. When we are introduced, the music stops and goes into Enter Sandman (Mariano Rivera) and he goes into a full introduction for us. I talked to my pal, he said he would definatley do it and would be able to get the studio to record it.

I know exactly when the doors swing open during the song and Mariano gets introduced.

My friend does the impression so well and using the recording studio culd really make it sound good. If she goes for it, I told her she can pick the songs for everything else!

OMG! that's my FH's dream intro. sounds cool! but i'm not going to show him this post. he's already getting too many ideas!

Me and FH are coming out to Enter Sandman. I think it's a cool idea.

We did this. It was such a HUGE hit not only for our guests, but also one of the Banquet Mgrs at Westbury Manor (when he saw us at TWOTY) said he STILL talks about it.
We didn't use Enter Sandman though. DH thought it wasn't the song he wanted to come out to. The BP came out to 'The Emporer's March' and we came out to 'Get Ready For This' as they team does when they come out onto the field.
Everyone has 'positions'. The guys wore their jerseys - that we gave as the bridal party gifts. The girls waved Yankee Flags...and I of course refused to carry my bouquet in...it was all about the foam finger!
Oh...and what really had the guests confused...was before any of the announcements we had the DJs play Whitney Houston's version of the Star Spangled Banner and had everyone stand up. The guests were lost because they had no idea what was coming!

My friend did that a few years back, her DH sent a tape to Bob Shepherd and he recorded the intros for her. It was nice, something different, and special.
