I have my bio-physical profile tomorrow afternoon...

and I'm a nervous wreck since they told my I have too much amniotic fluid. I'm so afraid to find out that something is wrong.

I'm not 100% sure. I know they give the baby some kind of 'test'. There are 5 things that they test for and the baby is supposed to score 2 points for each, which would come to 10 points. I know some of the things they check are the baby's breathing, movement, amniotic fluid and I'm not exactly sure what else. I'll also get hooked up to the fetal monitor, and because of the increased amniotic fluid level, I have to take ANOTHER (my 3rd) glucose test tomorrow.

I'm worried because they said if the baby does not score 10 points, they'd bring me in the next day to have the testing done again, and if it still doesnt score a 10 they may take the baby early. I've done some reading on the possible causes of the high amniotic fluid level and I'm freaking out that something is wrong with the baby

Try to relax and remain positive until you know something for sure. Stressing isn't going to help yourself or the baby - if anything, it may cause complications. Please hang in there and let us know what happens

Try to relax, I know its hard to do, but I am sure everything is going to be okay. Do you get the results back right away? Please let us know how everything goes

Stacy, relax, please! It's not good for you or the baby to be stressed right now. She will be ok. Sometimes being informed is not the best option, especially in situations like these where there's nothing you can do about it and there are so many possible things that can be the cause. You're like me, you get a little info and swing towards the worst. Hang in there

Please try not to worry yourself until you speak with the Doctors about this. I found sometimes reading up on things can some times do more harm then good and make you a wreck when you don't have to be. Please don't worry Stacy. Hugs! Call me if you need me.
