I have never posed on this board but i need some help!?
I am at my girlfriends right now and her dog is usually very friendly and hyper... now he is terrified shaking and i couls barly get him off of me to come on the computer to ask this. His eyes i looked and and in one eye the vein is red and popped out a little and in the other eye he has about 6 veins that are real red and standing out. his breathing is fast and his heart rate seems to be up. he has been like this for a few day they have said . i told her that she really needs to get him to a vet. i guess my question is do you think this is a medical problem or like she thinks someone did something to him? TIA janet

Has he come in contact with another dog.? But, I would not wait, I would def. rush him to the vet. The eyes never lie.

no he really never has gone out with out someone or he is on a leash. they have been having big problems with there neighbors and are afraid that they have done something to him. i looked for wounds and did not see any. he is a lopso opso dog i believe(sorry spelling) i hope the little guy ifs going to be ok there 2 year old son is unseperatable from the dog. he is (the baby) so upset that his ko ko will not go get the ball for him!

OMG please take him to vet right away! Whether it is someone hurting him or he is sick he def. needs medical attention. Fast! Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.

I can't believe they didn't take him to the vet at the first signs! Why are they waiting to help their animal!?!

yes take him to the vet, right away - I'm no expert but it sounds to me like he may have eaten something he should not have.

WELL THE LITTLE GUY WENT TO THE VET ! I PERSONALLY DID NOT LIKE HER BUT SHE DID DO SOME BLOOD WORK TO SEE IF IT SHOWS ANYTHING, AND AN ANTIBIOTIC SHOT, HAD A FEVER OF 103.4 THE RESULTS SHOULD BE IN IN THE MORNING I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED. THE VET THINKS HE GOT A HOLD OF A PILL THAT MAY HAVE FALLEN ON THE FLOOR AND SHE SAID IT'S LIKE HE IS ON SPEED! BUT WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE MORNING TO SEE! I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP! I WILL LET YOU KNOW IN THE MORNING!

Maybe the neighbor drugged the dog? Do you think your friend has a drug problem that she's hiding and that's why she didn't want to bring the dog to the vet right away? Just asking bc you said he may have gotten hold of a pill or speed...

any word on the pooch?
Being asthmatic myself, I know there are some drugs that can cause those side effects in humans. One in particular, that isn't regularly prescribed these days, that can certainly make it look like the dog ate a lot of chocolate.

no not yet kriss... they should be calling soon ! when my girlfriend calls me i will let you know ty for your concern. and as for why they waited was because they really did not know about it that much like i do... i had grand champs in my life and have always had a dog. this is there first dog for both of them because there son who is asthmatic is highly allergic to animals, but then they found out that the dog they have has more of human hair as compaired to the normal dog hair.
