I Have No Clue Why I'm Up This Late, But Hey, As Long As I'm Up, ....

Let's chat about what we're cutting from our budgets, if anything, in this economy!!!!

Eating out less!!!!!!
I'm asking myself, 'Do I really need this?' re: clothes, magazines, and If things don't get better, I may have to chuck my internet service; Mary MOB

Yep, I've pretty much stopped buying food from anywhere other than the grocery store.

I've been bagging a lunch every day, and taking the time to prepare dinner instead of just stopping at a diner. Part of it has to do with trying to watch my weight, but I am probably saving $50-$60 a week this way.

It's a pain because on Sunday I am spending over $120 at the grocery store. But then I notice I am not spending any cash during the week.

same here bagging my breakfast and lunch to work and trying not to order/eat out

We only eat out once a week, we stock up on groceries and cook at home, which isn't only saving money, it's so much healthier!
We also are cutting the stupid shopping, this year we're only buying work clothes and that's it.
ALso since i work in manhattan and its SO expensive to eat out, I cut out the morning starbucks for $4 and have a $10 limit on food spending for the day.

Not eating out a lot and bringing lunch with me everyday, I haven't bought myself any new clothes which really ***** because I always love buying new clothes when the seasons change. FH and I are giving setting a very small limit on gifts for eachother for our birthdays and x-mas. We are not exchanging x-mas gifts with any friends this year. It will all be worth it in the end.
