I highly recommend Miller Place Inn. Beautiful and reasonable. I can give you more info if you FM me.

I am having my reception @ Windows on the Lake next month....I am paying $60 per person...you can definatley find a place within your budget...a way to cut costs is to get married in the 'off season' months like we are...or to have ur wedding on a Friday or Sunday...I wanted my wedding on a Saturday so the only way we could afford it was to get married in the winter. You will find something, trust me! Good luck!

I would ask MaureenM618, she's a bride on here on the 2009 boards .... I know she's been looking around for a place that works within her budget. I'm pretty sure she just finally decided on a destination wedding.
You might want to check out a Knights of Columbus or VFW Hall .... the KoC in Oceanside is really pretty, but I'm not sure what they charge.

Larkfield Manor in East Northport, The Riviera in Massapequa-both are reasonably priced. I would check them out.

On the main page of LIW, there is a reception hall price and locator...it has tons of info and gives you all the info you should need, plus contact info! Also, if you can do your wedding in an off time (January, February) all vendors are a lot more flexible!! Welcome to the boards and best of luck to you!

I am paying about $8,800 at Larkfield Manor, but if you do a Thursday or Friday night in the off season, you'll be able to save more. Def check them out.

Re: i have no idea where to start
I am on a really tight budget as well since FH and I are paying for the whole thing ourselves. We are also limiting our guests to around 100 people. We selected the Swan Club because we loved the place and the price could not be beat. The food was also very good. My cousin got married at the Stewart Manor Country Club and that was very reasonable too. I found that places could be very resonable if you don't mind getting married between November and March. Best of luck in your search!!
hi check out brentwood cc. we are booked there but got so much for only 11,000 but thats for 100 guests only so if you have to shell out a little more then thats really not a whole lot. talk to sammi he is absolutly wonderful. here is what you get for 100 guests if you stick to strictly what is in the package and no upgrades then you will be fine 1. all of your flowers for your whole wedding party 2. dj 3. 2 -6 passenger stretch limos 4. video and photo for the whole day including albums and dvd copies for you and both sets of parents 5. centerpieces for 10 tables 6. 75 thank yous and 75 invites along with all your direction cards and all your place settings you will also get open bar coctail hour and reception dinner. along with your cake and haggan daas sundae. you will also get hour dvores passed around butler style. each additional person is 70 pp., also check out mediterranian manor they have a all inclusive package as well for less money maybe somewhere around 8 grand but for 75 guests minimum and the place is nice too. ive been to a wedding there and it was great

Westbury Manor can also be quite reasonable. Like another poster said...as long as you choose off season and off days, it can be done. The folks that want to be at your wedding will be there no matter what day or time.
Best of luck and welcome aboard!

Don't stress! You have plenty of time. Try the Riverview in Oakdale--it's beautiful and reasonably priced. Or, check out lessings.com--they have a whole bunch of places and are very nice to work with. The Riverview is one of their many locations. I went to a wedding there and LOVED IT!!
