Re: I have no motivation
Congrats Suzanne! That's GREAT!!Wacky: don't worry, you took the first step in joining. You just need time to get into it. Trust me, once you start losing a few pounds and see the difference, you WILL get motivated.
I lost 20 lbs on WW, it's really a great program.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: I have no motivation
How much money do you need to invest ($$) for weight watchers ?? I really need to discipline myself on eating and losing weight. Especially with this 'baby weight'...(and then some) that I wanna get rid of...
Can someone give me an example of a typical day on WW please...
Lets start a 'healthy eating' motivation group !

Re: I have no motivation
Can I ask you a tough question about Weight Watchers? I have a hard time putting this to words, but I know you are all supportive and patient so you'll hear me out. Will I feel comfortable/welcome at Weight Watchers if I only have about 10-15 pounds to lose at the moment? The pattern of weight gain in my family is that the women are thin until mid 20s (I'm 25) and then start gaining (which I am). I'd love to get some control before I'm in the situation of the older women in my family who are 30-50 pounds overweight. I was a bit concerned though that I'd get dirty looks from people who think I should be happy with what I am. (Which I am, just concerned about getting in worse shape.) Understand my question?

Re: I have no motivation
Valenia-Have you considered doing WW online? My sister did WW Online after she had a baby and she lost all her weight and more! She never went to a meeting or anything, she was very disciplined and did a great job following everything on-line. I have heard that sometimes WW turns you away if they don't think you have enough to lose.

Re: I have no motivation
Can anyone tell us,
*What is a typical meeting like ?
*Is it expensive to join ?
*What is a typical day of eating ? (how many points per day are you allowed ? What foods are how many points - just give a few examples).
Thanks!

Re: I have no motivation
Can I join this thread??I'm having the same problem. I want to lose 20lbs as well. It is TOUGH! I don't know if I need to lose that much, but I want people to look at me and say 'you better start eating!' I know I'm weird.
Anyway, I did WW last year and lost about 12 pounds. I look the same now as I did when I started.
My fault of course! A friend of mine has been on WW for about 3 weeks now and lost 12lbs so far! I need to get motivated too! WW REALLY REALLY works! But it's so hard to stay committed. My goal is after the holidays, along with everyone else in the world! haha! But really.... I need to get my butt in shape! I am going to get my hiney in a bikini for the honeymoon!
Good luck girls!

Re: I have no motivation
Anna,Some answers to your questions:
Meeting - about 45mins. We talked about our weaknesses. If any of us 'screwed' up. Etc. Sort of a motivational meeting.
It was every week.Points - depended on your weight. Is the amount of points you are allowed. Every food you can think of has a certain amount of points. You have to eat within your range. My daily point range was 18-23 (I think). The goal was to eat atleast the MINIMUM points without going OVER THE MAXIMUM.
The cost for me, I think was $130 for 12 weeks. But I did it through work. I'd say the meetings are about $10-$12 each week. I have to say Anna, it really is worth it!
Anymore questions feel free to contact me. I hope I answered all of them!
Some points:
Most veggies are ZERO, which means you can eat them all day!
Glass of wine - about 3 points each glass
Homemade biscuit - 3 points
3 cooked buffalo wings - 9 points
I have the book here with me... I dont have this memorized!

Re: I have no motivation
Thanks for the suggestion of online, thats a great idea... Another question. Can you stay within the points range without feeling hungry? I don't think I'll last very long if hunger is part of the regiment.

Re: I have no motivation
The thing about WW is, I was NEVER hungry! Actually, I'm never hungry when I eat, I have a craving problem... But anyway, what's good is that a lot of things have 2-3 points, you can eat throughout the day. I NEVER felt hungry on WW. I just have to get myself motivated to do it again!
Online is good, but it's tough. Thing I liked about the meetings is that you get weighed EVERY week by someone. So you force yourself to stick to it, because you want that scale to go down. JMO. I'm sure it works for others!
