Is there anything I can do for it, or am I going to have to go to the doctor and get a prescription?? I have to go to work tomorrow, but I really don't see how I can. I work in a daycare, I don't think I am allowed to go with this. I just missed a whole week from being sick the week before last. What do I do?? ARGH!!!

you should stay home if you're going to come in close contact with anyone....for pink eye - they'll understand!
go to the doctor and get something for it - shoudl be gone soon

YOU CANNOT GO TO WORK!! You are contagious! You have to go to the doctor and get a RX for an antibiotic eye cream. You MUST throw out all of your make-up once you start the eye cream- You MUST wash all of your pillow cases and change your towel.
Welcome to the world of teaching. You will learn to never EVER touch your face unless you have JUST washed your hands!!!

Thanks!! I hope I don't get fired!! I am going to call and see if the doctor will call me in a prescription, I have no health insurance and I am not paying $90 to go in there and have them tell me I have pink-eye when I already know I do!! I think I have to start looking for a new job anyway. So far I have been working at this place for 2 months and have had Bronchitis, severe sinus infection, pink-eye. It's something new every week!!
ETA- my last job in the public schools, I worked there for three years and didn't get sick once!!!

AW Jaime, That is the sad thing of working with little kids. You were lucky that you didn't get sick I remember my first year and I swear I was sick every other day it was awful!!! They should completely understand pink eye!!

DH's yelling at me because I have pink-eye!! Like its my fault!! He's telling me I should go to work and hopefully they won't notice, but I would feel so guilty. I just can't go. Plus, It is kind of obvious considering my eye is swollen and there is nasty stuff coming out of it. And if I show up with no make-up on, well, thats a given right there, I never go anywhere without make-up!! So, I guess its a day off for me!!

DONT GO TO WORK!!!! Pink eye is VERY VERY contagious. You have to go to the eye doctor. He will give you drops.

Go to the drug store, They just started to sell over the counter medication for pink eye. I had it last week and also dont have insurance and used the over the counter stuff and it cleared up in a few days
