I have the BEST family...(a little long)

I never really talk about my family much on the boards but this one I had to share.

Brief history: my dad passed away when I was 6, mom took care of me & my sister and we never really had much. My aunt, my mom's sister, is like a second mom to me and my uncle, her husband, would do aything for us. Theyare only 12 yars older than me. Their kids, my cousins, are 9 & 6 and are like my brother and sister. They are my RB and JrBM. I babysit them all the time, I often watch them for a few days to a week if my aunt and uncle go away...I am their nanny! I have keys to their house and I am practically always there.

Last night (new years eve) I was at my aunt & uncle's house and I went on the deck to find my mom, my aunt, my uncle and my sister and my mom turned to me and said, 'they just offered to buy your wedding gown.' I immediately started crying, my uncle started crying and said that us four women have taught him what true family is all about and he told my mom what amazing job she did raising my sister and I under unbelievable circumstances (he has 3 sisters and both parents still living but they don't have the sense of family that we have).

My aunt and uncle told me that this is something that they want to do or me because they live and breathe through me and that I take care of their children as though they were my own. His business has been doing really well lately and they are always so generous but I never expected this. He said, 'go anyhere you want to buy your gown, spend anything you want, this isn't your wedding gift, this is just something we want to do for you.'

All along my mom was going to buy my gown but she said when they asked her permission to do this, she knew that they woud be able to give me much more than she could and she only wants the best for me.

I am still amazed at what an unbelievable family I have...I could still cry when I think about his words!
