I have the best FH/Vendor Rant!

So here's a little back story:

Recently, I have been begging FH to let us have a videographer for our wedding. When we initially made the budget for our wedding I said we could cut out video for more expensive options like a band. However, halfway through the planning I changed my mind.

I realllly liked Aj Ingoglia but FH said he just wasn't in the budget. Well fast forward to my shower. A few weeks prior FH got in touch with AJ to book him for our wedding and was going to surprise me with it at my shower. He sent AJ several e-mails with dates to meet. Initially AJ responded but then he just stopped! Totally blew of FH and didn't respond to his e-mails.

I love FH and thought him trying to get me the videographer I wanted was so sweet. However, I'm kinda of suprised about AJ since I heard so many great things. I had even been in touch with him myself. FH said I can still reach out to him if I want but he really doesn't feel comfortable working with some who flaked on him.

Anyway, that's my story!

First, FH is adorable for doing that! He gets major points!

Not that it's an excuse but on aj's Facebook page he keeps saying how he has like 3 weddings a weekend and he has been editing to get up the highlights. So maybe since it's prime season he is super busy? I mean look a his highlight reels on vimeo...the boy is talented and clearly puts a lot into it. :) I would keep trying

i thought i heard that he wasnt going to be booking anything after 2012... i could be wrong though... something about moving

Aw that's so sweet of FH! Too bad about AJ. Maybe try someone else? I'm using Chris Lobello and I love his work. Maybe check him out...

AJ got back to me quickly saying he was booked, and this was only a few months ago. I have gotten NO response from other vendors who people raveeee about (video vendores) So I completely understand.

I hope you end up getting video and love it!

he's actually a one man shop so he shoots all of his weddings and also is fielding all calls/requests at the same time. i promise that he's worth reaching out to again.

AJ stopped responding to me to. He told me thru email that he would call me the next day and never did or emailed me again so I stopped contacting him as well. WTH?!

But that was Sooo sweet of FH to try!!

Thanks ladies. I'm still on the fence about contacting him. FH followed up with him more than once to try and meet to finalize things. I get that people are busy but if someone is offering to give you money wouldn't you follow up? Still love his work though.
