OUCH! It was really difficult to sleep last night. I have really bad sunburn on my arms, shoulder, legs and top of my feet.
what do you reccommend treating it with? Right now I have Hawaiian Tropic COOL Aloe ICE. It only seems to sooth for about 5 minutes, and it says to not use it more than 4 times a day.
DH's mother said Witchazel or Rubbing Alcohol.
What do you use?
I'm an idiot to have done this to myself!

the only things that help are aloe, cocoa butter and aspirin

Anything with Aloe in it. My SIL owns a tanning salon and says that a gel lotion she sells called Insurance works wonders for burns!!!

I got this at walgreens for 2.99 it is aloe Vera gel it cools and soothes naturally!

there is a blue lotion that coppertone and bull frog sells cant remember the name think its lanokane. its sothes and makes the skin cool.

Is it Lanacane? I could totally be lying. Noxema is good, but then you smell pretty gamey all day.
I don't think rubbing alcohol is a good idea. It dries out the skin, and sunburns are already dry.

OMG DH's mother must hate you! Rubbing alcohol would be so, so bad for it! The exact opposite of what you want to do!

I thought that was quite ODD when she said it too! I usually use rubbing alcohol to dry out my pimples! I don't think she hates me. I think she just isn't quite 'all there'
I have Coco Butter w/aloe Lotion. I think I will use that until I can get to the store.

I was thinking of Solarcaine! Definitely try that--it numbs the skin.

im tellin ya the ALOE VERA GEL really works! you can feel the sunburn cool down. my arm feels heated after i put it on like the heat is going out of it.

I love insurance...it really does work wonders, but can be pricey - totally worth it though
Also....try an Aveeno Oatmeal bath

Aloe Solarcaine
GREAT CURE: Put a bunch of tea bags into a sink or tub full of warm water, then take a washcloth & absorb some of the tea-water, then apply the washcloth to the burned areas & let it rest on the areas. This truly helps to take the burn away, me & my family have used it for ages.

soak a paper towl in apple cider vinegar to get the heat and sting out
then olive oil to rehydrate the skin and not to start peeling
feel better- Ive been there and I feel for ya!

get to a health food store and buy calendula...lotion!!! amazing! heals it up so fast and helps prevent peeling!
