I have to admit I'm a bit bummer

FH and me got back from a caribbean cruise vacation last week. Within an hour of leaving JFK, I started sneezing and my eyes got all watery. I saw my radiologist 3 days later and he examed me and said I shouldn't worry because the allergies are really bad and that's what the issue is.

I haven't gotten any relieft from Claritin or Zyrtec so I called my oncologist's office and asked if he could refer me to an allergist. He decided that instead of me going to an allergist, he wants me to go for a CT scan to rule out a blood clot in my chest or lungs.

when is this going to end????

that stinks.. hopefully its just allergies and everything is fine.

lets think positively.. and think ALLERGIES... i gotta tell you.. my allergies are insane lately.. makes me crazzy.. so lets hope you have them too.. and we can go crazzy with them together.

I know it s u c ks to keep having to go to the doctors but it's better that they are on top of things. Hope everything is okay!

they're just being extra careful. when my brother was newly in remission for lymphoma, he developed pleurisy in his lungs bc his immune system was down. doctors were casually throwing around the possibility of a relapse after they'd casually thrown around some pretty dismal statistics for his survival if that happened. in the end, he just needed an antibiotic.

i know it's easier said than done, but don't sweat it. i'll be thinking of you.

He's just being precautious (sp?). . . I'm sure its just allergies, they are really bad right now - everyone is suffering.

Dont stress! I'm sure its just allergies but why not test just to make sure.

Thanks girls!

My oncologist said that he's almost certain it's not a recurrence of the lymphoma and everyone is at risk for a blood clot, it's just with all my treatment I'm at a slightly higher risk.

FH said he's going to come over after work and take me out to dinner so I'm not sitting in my room all night stressing over this.
