I have to go get my wisdom tooth pulled on Thursday. It's killing me.... I just came home from work because the pain killer that the oral surgeon gave me (to hold me over) is making me lightheaded and sick to my stomach. I'm seeing a pattern of every 1 1/2 years i need one removed which means the next one will be close to my wedding Do any of you still need to get rid of you wisdom teeth. I don't understand why we have them if they need to be removed and the $$$ it costs, I could just cry

I did all 4 at once! My friend did one at a time and it took her a week to recover, same with me, so why not do it all at once!

I thought about it but at the time I didn't have dental insurance so I would have had to have sold some body parts to pay for it. Although if I could sell off a love handle or too it would be ok.

I just had my last wisdom tooth pulled 2 weeks ago, and my dentist didn't even give me pain medication for it!! He said it would be fine....well 3 hours later I was in excruciating pain!! Needless to say, I have been popping ibuprofen since then...it is finally starting not to bother me now...
I don't remember the last teeth being as painful...but who knows...it was years ago...

I can't believe your dentist didn't give you a pain reliever. One the medication wears off from the surgery the pain kicks right in and you just want to run somewhere and hide so no one can see how much pain your in. I wouldn't use that dentist again to get my tooth pulled. Hope you are feeling better!!!!!
