I have to go back to work the end of next month...

I am so depressed about it. I cry whenever I think of leaving my little girl everyday. I wish I could stay home but economically it is impossible. Can anyone give me some advice on how to ease myself into this transition or tell me your stories how bad was it ect...

Thanks

Who will your daughter be staying with? I think that really makes a difference. Both of my children went to the same daycare and I didn't have any problems. Yes, it was hard leaving them but I know they are in good hands. Both of them (one in school and the other in the daycare) don't even say goodbye anymore! I get sad but I know that is so much better than them crying that I am leaving.
I think you just need to take it day by day. It will be hard those first days but as you get into a routine, it will get a little easier.
Good luck and come back and let us know how everything turns out. We are here for you!

I know it was very hard for me but like you, I had to go back for economical reasons. My Mom babysits for me, so it made me feel more at ease knowing she was with someone I could trust. The first week is very hard...I remember breaking down the first day thinking of her. But as time wore on and you get back into a 'routine' of sorts, you'll see the day will fly and you'll be so anxious to get home and see her.

She is such a beautiful baby...you are very blessed

I know exactly how you feel. I went back three weeks ago. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have total trust in the person taking care of her (it's my mom). But I never thought I'd go through such a difficult seperation anxiety. I truely miss her! I love that I am excited to come home every night and see her smiling face. It is getting better, but at the end of each day I am so happy to go home. Hang in there! Everyone told me it would get better, and I guess in a way it does. But you are working to provide for your child and give her a better life. She will be fine and mommy will be too! This is the pep talk I have been giving myself for the last three weeks.

I have to return to work on March 7th and I am totally depressed about it. I cant imagine leaving her for the day and missing all her smiles and baby talk and everything else. My mom and mil will watch her which I know is great but it still doesnt change how much I will miss her. The past 3 monthes with her have been wonderful, I wish there was a way I could be a sahm but its not possible now..
