I have too much room in my bag.

Hi.

I am giving away mini champagne bottles for my favors. I bought these ivory organza bags to put them in. I thought it was a good idea, but the bottle is swimming in the bag.

The bottle is 3x7 and the bag is 5x91/2. so there is so much room on the sides. I tried gathering it so it looks tighter but it does not look right.

Any suggestions!!!

do the bags have drawstring tops? If not maybe put the organza tight at the top with a pretty ribbon?

How about wrapping the bottle in tissue paper first and then putting it in the bag? OR was the point of the organza so that you could see through it?

Yes it has drawstring but when I pull it tight there is still so much room on the sides.

I have a personalized ribbon that I also tied around as well.

Kelly, good idea I thought of that. I was just thinking that I am making so much work for the guests to get to the actual gift- ya know what I mean.

What about leaving the drawstring open & just tying the ribbon around the neck of the bottle?

I am sorry Curly I do not have a pic.

Christine- if I leave it open it would not be secure enough. I should have just gone with tulle.

The confetti thing is sounding good.

It is too late to order online can I go to party city to get some. If I do this what color do you suggest?

The bag is Ivory and my personalized ribbon is periwinkle.

can you get the periwinkle confetti to match the ribbon? what about an ivory shimmery colored confetti?

How about putting a couple of chocolates in there - it can be whatever candy matches your bottles or bags? They take up tons of room

Kiesha they have nice 'straw paper' too, i saw it in CVS, its really pretty.

i don't know if this defeats the purpose of having the organza bag either- but i've seen fancy tissue paper (ha) that can fill in the space. i'll try to find out where you can get it from. are there any stores like party city in manhattan? i've never seen any but i'm sure there has to be something!

one more thing- i found a site that will mail out the day you order

here it is- they have some confetti type thing in an opal that may work
