I had my meeting with James Cress and my quote was $3400 for 14 centerpieces, half high/half low and and my personals.. which he said came out over 1100 dollars by themselves... He said my high centerpieces cost 175 each and the low 125...
With that said I am booking Verbena Designs!! I loved her and her quote was only 2800 for the same thing. Plus she threw in some extras!

Yikes that is a lot for flowers. Why are they sooo espensive? Are there flowers glittered with gold? I am sure you are getting the same outcome from your vendor now.

I know and he MADE me give him my budget. I told him just to give me the price for what i wanted (and i showed him some pics) and he wouldnt budge till i told him. So i aimed low and told him between 2k and 2500 and he was like.,, 'well then I cant help you for what you want'.. But then we continued on and thats the price we came up with... Verbena is still over my budget a lil but she was soo awesome and i think she won me on personality alone lol. Plus she only does one wedding a day.

LOL you would think. He told me that callas are 5 times more expensive in the fall and that if i took them out i would save $300.
The flowers I had were roses, callas, orchids, gerbers, and berries with curly willow.-- the low centerpieces in grape vine baskets..

yeah, its always good to shop around cuz when you think a price is too high, it probably is.... its great that you were able to find exactly what you wanted for less! Good work!

Yea they are definitely on the higher end as far as price but I absolutely loved them and booked them! Congrats on booking!!!!

OMG I would have walked out if he was going to 'force' me to give him my budget!!! How do we know that if we tell him 10K he is not just tripling the price?!?!?!?
I walked out of a car dealership a few weeks ago for the same reason-- he kept telling me he wanted to know if I was financing- I was like I DONT KNOW YET! he wouldnt give me the price without me deciding... how can i decide if I'm going to pay cash if you wont tell me how much it is?!?!? So i just up and left!!! (it felt very empowering!)
As a general rule I never give people my budget. I am afraid they're going to price me a few hundred dollars over then take them off so I'll feel like I got a deal!

I so thought about it.. I was going to say 'but the girls on LIW said never to reveal my budget'...
I needed the quote as comparison to the two others i had gotten otherwise i would have left.

it's so ridiculous how the same flowers could be that much less someplace else. it's really not fair. i'd rather give the money to someone who doesn't price gauge!
