I have been lying awake wondering how am I going to pay for the wedding. FH has been out of work for over 2 months now... Does anyone else worry about this too???

Re: I haven't been sleeping...
i do and really only because we will have a mortgage sooner than expected.
we dont' have that much more to pay off - only need to save a few thousand more
but try not to worry - it will all work out

Uhh, I think about this all the time. I'm so envious of my friends who have had their weddings paid for them. It is ridiculously expensive and I just laugh when people tell me we'll make it back. We'll be lucky if we break even on the RH alone. Anyone else feel like they've spent way too much money on all their vendors?

i feel this way too Daves been out of work since JANUARY but he is finally going to work tomorrow for a 'trail' to see if he likes this alarm company but no matter what he is taking it. I make $ but not enough to cover a wedding alone. It will all work out I have faith you should too

Re: I haven't been sleeping...
We went through this too. We were engaged in May of 2008. Justin was in school until May 2009, and started working July 2009.
I know it's corny, but everything has a way of working out. What helped us, is we had a plan B in case Justin didn't get a job right away. We agreed to post-phone the wedding until the Fall if he didn't find a job by the 6 month mark.
I don't like awake wondering how we're going to pay for the wedding, we've got that covered, however, I lie awake wondering how we're going to buy a house... but I conceded and we'll rent for a year or two if we have to.

What does FH do? I work in HR and have some decent recruiter contacts. If he has a resume I would be happy to pass it along.

He will find something, don't worry, it will work out. I know its tough now but just one step at a time.
