I went for a 12 week sonogram on Tuesday and I heard the babies heartbeat!!! It was amazing. My dh and I are so in love with this little peanut!! I have to go for another sonogram tomorrow because our baby wasn't in the greatest position for them to see what they wanted. I really don't mind going again so I can see my little peanut!! I can't believe that I have a life inside of me.

I had to go back too because the baby was jumping around and they couldn't get it to stay in place so that they could see the skin on the back of it's neck (related to D/S I believe - I'm not technical at all with this stuff). I was like 'COOOL!!' that I had to come back and see he/she. Finally the baby was behaving and all was well...
I just started to REALLY feel life this week. I've had twinges and stuff before but it's like strong little POWS! inside of me. It's totally incredible. It's even more amazing because it's this special little 'thing' between only Mommy and baby. It's not like I can share it at this point with my husband - not detectable on the outside really.

Wow Shamee, now I can't wait to feel movement. How far along are you? The test you went for is the test I am going for this week. Did they prick your finger?

I'm near week 21. They actually did a whole blood test at that time instead of just pricking my finger (gee, thanks ). I think this test is relatively new in terms of being a standardized test. It's amazing how much information they can gather these days.

Ahhh Thanks Jen, I can't believe this Christmas Rob and I will have a baby of our own. (Tears are filling up in my eyes and goose bumps are traveling up my arms.) This baby is so lucky already. It is so loved by so many.

I know Deb! It will definitely get a lot of love that is for sure! I still can't believe my brother is going to be a dad! I still think back on the days when were kids and it feels like yesterday. You should scan in the pics and post the baby here!!!
