I am here watching my niece, my sister had to go out and my parents are food shopping. I amswered the phone, thinking it was my mom, and it was my cousin's wife Sara, who I don't talk to too much but it's the only person I know named Sara. So she said, 'Is this Joanne?' And I said, 'no, can I ask who's calling?' If it was a voice I knew I would have said, no, it's her daughter .. so she says Sara, and I am like, ???? I hadn't figured it out yet. So I said, can she call you back? And she's like, no, I'll call her back.
I feel sooo bad for Sara! She's gonna think she ruined it for me but I knew my invites went out, i just don't know when it is.
but it's sorta funny!

I know I tried to call my cousin jill (her brother pat is married to sara) to tell her that it's ok, but she didn't answer.

Aww Poor girl!! But Jenn, really, what are the chances you'd be there while someone calls to RSVP to your shower.

the funny thing is, my sister was here when it happened, but she was in the bathroom. So I told her, and she said, DAMN! And she said my mom gets soooo nervous when I am here now - she told her that she looked through the house 5x and didn't see anything for my shower. But no, I don't find anything, I ANSWER THE PHONE!
I am NOT telling my mom. I will let Sara tell her.

Awe! She probably does think that she ruined it. My sister and mom and I were out to lunch last week and she answered her phone and was like ok we'll see you then. So I was like who is that? So my mom's like she's going on a blind date and my sister and I burst out laughing. I know it was for my shower.

My sister already told my mom what happened. I told her not to! And then the phone rang when everyone was there, but I handed it to my mom - and she was like, well you already ruined it! Which I totally do not think I did - I knew the invites went out, so it wasn't really a shocker someone was calling. I still have to get a hold of my cousin to tell her to tell sara, the caller, it's not a huge deal. I would hate for her to feel bad!

Ha! I was soo afraid of that when I called my friend's sister for her shower. I had no way of knowing when she may be there and what other reason would I be calling her sister?! She ended up knowing anyway. I offered to get her to the shower because her husband had to work. When we parked she said, 'Ahh, they gave you the hard job...' I tried to play dumb, but finally I was like 'you biotch, act surprised!' She still says, I'm always late, and that day I was right on time! Sorry to stray off-topic a bit...
